In Greece, the pearl is a symbol of purity, and in Ancient Rome it represented love and Pleasure. Cleopatra dissolved a pearl, in the form of a pear, in a glass of wine, to then drink the cocktail so that she might seduce Mark Anthony. In the West, in the upper echelons of society, the pearl has always stood for, - and still means, wealth, power and distinction.Famous for its virtues, its rarity and used for royal settings, the black pearl was defined as the Queen’s Pearl or Queen of Pearls, and the most famous of all, was the "Azza" pearl which belonged to the crown of Russia. Throughout civilization, the pearl has borne witness to antiquity.
The series "Carezze" represents quality jewellery, to admire and have admired.
The studied contrasts designed by artists down the centuries of form and shape and the matching of materials reaches undreamt of heights in this series. A square of light bringing out the marvels of a small sphere in all its changing hues. Diamonds or precious stones nestling by a pearl, throwing nuance and which play, and meet across its surface.
Once upon a time, the Gods wore pearls while in the Far East pearls werecollected for pleasure and were even considered as therapeutic with supernatural powers.
In China pearls brought good health, in Egypt love, and in India and Arabia, happiness.
In the still lagoons of Polynesia protected from the ocean tempests by coral reefs, the
"Pinctada Margaritifera Cumingi" (the pearl oyster) grows while outside the barrier reef nature manifests her might in every conceivable way. Huge ocean waves where dolphins and manta play, undisturbed giving meaning and life to the most beautiful pearls in the world. - Sprays of Life. This series has been designed so that you too can wear a spray from the South Seas.

A white flower bursts into bloom every morning on the top of Mount Temehani just before dawn - on the sacred island of Raiatea. The flower only grows in this isolated spot. They call this flower Tiare Apetahi flower and it grows incomplete as if the bloom has been cut diametrically through its centre. . Its five petals are the five outstretched fingers of one hand. According to the legend, the flower is the hand of a fair young maiden who in love with a noble prince is forbidden to marry him. In her adieu she tells him that when he goes
to the mountain, she will hold out her hand for him to caress.

"The charm of the see"
Tahiti: a name that has always evoked the magic of paradise, and myth. The myth of the "vahine", Gaughin’'s tahitian women with their colours. The myth of freedom picked up on by the film Bounty, with the radiant splendour of its blue lagoons, and the Black Pearl, a tiny perfect world encapsulated in a few millimetres symbolizing all the myths of the Southern Seas, a couple’s dream. Here the pearl is placed in the setting of a gold scarf, soft and sinuous, the choice of wearing that little something, so refined and so particular.
There are flowers everywhere in Polynesia, like colourful stars that have fallen into empty blueness. Once cut, flowers are arranged everywhere; in homes, in bouquets, in their welcoming garlands offered on your arrival , as colourful adornment in hair or just behind the ear. Indeed this has a particular meaning. The Tiare, or Tahitian Gardenia when placed above the right ear, shows that the wearer is free in their heart and open to love. When the flower is over the left ear, then the heart has already been given to another. The heart will always be won by such sweetness,
especially when there is a black pearl placed nearby. The apogée of esthetic excellence,
and as such to be admired. A floral code which can be invented as you wish.
With a sarong around the waist, a gold necklace with pearls placed next to other gems, a mix of great class.
Accessories for you: a choker and its keshis.

In Polynesian mythology, caskets of light were given by the creator to Tane, the God of Love and Beauty so that the heavens might be illuminated with their splendour. Inspired, he created the stars then he gave the caskets to Rua Hatu, God of the Oceans, so that he might have light in his realm. Oru God of War and Peace gave them to the young maidens he desired as a love token and finally once he had terminated his earthly duties he gave Man the Pearl Oyster to remember him by. "TE UFI" Inspired by this legend encapsulating the Polynesian spirit, we have created our special "charmhiti which evokes different aspects of that spirit. The spiral which symbolises the pearl as it develops, similar to our own evolving lives, to the drop meaning a drop in the sea, symbolised by the drop pearl enclosed by a "C", representing anything we wish to hold sacred, sentiment, love, friendship, fantasy, loyalty.
Pearls to be worn by a couple, who feel close in the way they dress, elegant or casual. Pearls and diamonds every couple’s dream designed with exclusive class.
The pearl has long been a symbol of divinity and mysticism, and a universal messenger of immortality. In the ancient texts of our religions, the Veda, the Bible, the Koran, etc, and in metaphysics, the pearl has alternately meant fertility, cycles of life, perfection and the Divine, and the soul as it nears perfection. Indeed in medieval times the pearl was a symbol for the love of God, and Jesus was considered the precious pearl born to Maria. From Julius Caesar, to Charlemagne the pearl represented the glory of Royalty, power and nobility. It was regarded as property of the Elite. According to Svetonio, the pearl even had an important part to play in Caesar’'s invasion of Britain. It was only in Venice that the Doges had the right to wear the pearl. From Marco Polo to Captain Cook , there was great ambition in those of importance to possess and flaunt pearls and European society would go to great lengths to get such prized jewels.
